The former president's Granddaughter Gets Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut

Young golfer getting ready for major competition

The rising star maintains impressive social media presence

The young golfer can count on multiple well-known cheerleaders when she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.

The former president, someone who loves golf, operates several golf courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Simply stay calm."

"My grandpa basically suggested to go out there and enjoy myself," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and holds the 461st position in AJGA standings.

Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.

"Additionally, he's an even better individual. He advised me to play, relax, following whatever happens."

She'll challenge multiple top competitors in professional golf at this tournament, including world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to different demographics, especially among youth audiences.

The young star boasts millions of followers and has started an exclusive fashion and living brand.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
