Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, according to law enforcement.

A young child was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a limited duration.
